In Times of Trouble, We Stand Together

Last Saturday We Can Lead Change, Fox Valley Rising, First Congressional United Church, and HIKE Indivisible Elgin held a food drive and Carpentersville delivered 3 carloads of food to support those affected by SNAP cuts.

I was there helping, and I got these great pictures!

We arrived at the donation site with plenty to help our neighbors.

And we weren’t the only ones. Chicagoland’s determination to keep our community fed through lean times is pouring into the hallways of the event’s sorting facility!

Thank you to everyone who took part in this excellent event!

I'm a momma, nerd, and artisan, in that order. I love creation, color, and flavor! Ask me about my cats. ;)
